Employer of the Year
Regional awards are presented annually between late October and March of the following year.
The presentation ceremony includes official participation by the Regional Employer Support Committee (RESC) Chairman, regional unit Commanding Officers, local body politicians, and the local Member of Parliament.
Employers who provide the highest level of support are formally recognised as part of the TFESC's National Employer of the Year Awards. National awards are presented annually in April of the following year (after the results from the Regional Awards have been finalised).
The publicised presentation ceremony is held at Parliament, reflecting the importance of such an event. Recipients are invited to attend at Defence expense.
Construction company, Fulton Hogan won the Territorial Forces Employer Support Council Employer of the Year award for 2014.
The support shown by Blackhead Quarries for their employees Warrant Officer Gerry Costello and Sergeant Dan Bristow has earned the company the 2012 TFESC National Employer of the Year Award.
Tauranga mechanical and engineering company, Haden O’Donnell Griffin was the 2011 TFESC National Employer of the Year.
Television New Zealand was the winner of the 2010 TFESC's National Employer of the Year Award at a ceremony hosted at Parliament.
